The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
by Arthur Conan Doyle
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes brings together twelve of the most famous cases featuring the brilliant detective Sherlock Holmes and his loyal companion, Dr John Watson. From mysterious disappearances and unusual clues to blackmail and hidden identities, each story presents a puzzle that seems impossible until Holmes begins to observe what others have missed. Working from 221B Baker Street, Holmes relies on logic, scientific knowledge and extraordinary attention to detail. Watson’s narration gives the stories warmth and suspense while allowing readers to follow the detective’s reasoning. Fast-moving, clever and endlessly entertaining, this collection helped establish the modern detective story.
