Dracula
by Bram Stoker
Dracula is Bram Stoker’s legendary Gothic novel of fear, mystery and the supernatural. The story begins when young solicitor Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania to meet the mysterious Count Dracula and slowly realises that he is trapped in the home of a terrifying and unnatural host. When Dracula travels to England, a group of friends and allies must confront a threat they barely understand. Through letters, diaries and newspaper accounts, the novel follows their attempt to uncover the truth and stop the Count before his influence spreads further. Atmospheric, suspenseful and rich with unforgettable imagery, Dracula helped define the modern vampire story. Its themes of fear, desire, science and the unknown have made it one of the most influential horror novels ever written.
